Max Verstappen opens up about his struggles during the Sprint

Max Verstappen achieved another victory, although it wasn’t the simplest. Because of the frequent changes in the weather during the Shanghai sprint race, all teams chose to use medium compound tires; only George Russell opted for the soft tires.

While talking to the media regarding the same, he added the following.

It just seemed like, after five or six laps, everyone went through their tyres a little bit and we really started to take off basically. Of course we had deg but a bit less than the others. Max Verstappen via: Formula 1

The 26-year-old has made it known that during the early few laps, he was holding his pace back as the cars in front of him were putting their tires through the wringer. Moreover, he admitted that the deg on his car was quite less in comparison to others.

The RB20 has been operating in a league of its own this year and has so far proved too mighty. Keeping in view that Max Verstappen won the Sprint race by a margin of over 13 seconds, he will be expected to dominate during the remainder of the Chinese GP weekend.
