Vikings-Falcons inactives: Christian Darrisaw out for Minnesota
Eric Hartline-USA TODAY Sports

Vikings star left tackle Christian Darrisaw is inactive for Sunday's game against the Falcons due to a groin injury that popped up late this week.

That means the Vikings will attempt to pick up a road upset today without their three best offensive players: Kirk Cousins, Justin Jefferson, and Darrisaw.

Veteran David Quessenberry is the presumed starter at left tackle with Darrisaw out. Oli Udoh is on injured reserve and Blake Brandel has been working at guard all year. Quessenberry stepped in for Darrisaw against the Eagles in Week 2 and played 19 snaps, allowing three pressures (per PFF).

This is a big loss for the Vikings, especially in a game where rookie Jaren Hall is making his first career start at quarterback. Darrisaw is one of the most consistent and dominant offensive linemen in the NFL, and he won't be available to protect Hall's blind side. The good news for the Vikings is they still have 80 percent of an offensive line that has been playing quite well recently.

Also inactive for the Vikings:

  • DL Dean Lowry
  • WR Jalen Nailor
  • S Lewis Cine
  • RB/KR Kene Nwangwu
  • LB Brian Asamoah II
  • TE Nick Muse

DL T.J. Smith and LB Nick Vigil were elevated from the practice squad for the game.

The Falcons' most notable inactive player is leading receiver Drake London, who was ruled out on Friday.

Kickoff is at noon central time on FOX.
